How long has it been since you applied the Frontline Plus? It takes several days to work completely. We had a flea problem last summer, applied the FP, they were gone for two weeks, reapplied it as we saw a few fleas (even though we were supposed to wait 4 weeks) then after another 2 weeks a few more fleas returned. After that, no more fleas ever--and it's been over a year! We still apply it once a month, just in case.

Yeah, Frontline Plus will take some time, days even, to get fully effective on killing fleas and ticks. It will be absorbed into pet's sebum glands then slowly distribute the stuff all over pet's body. Its probably the best in the market as it is made to kill fleas in pet surroundings, ie your yard. For full impact on awful fleas, you will need three full months. Shampoo will only the flea and tick per wash basis with no strong protection after wash. Shampoo never worked on my dogs, the fleas keep coming back from other dogs and the surrounding.

Never tried the shampoo as it is not good to use on dogs all the time as is any flea shampoo. The fleas should quite after a heavy frost
