My mother came down with dementia some time 4-5 years ago. I still don't know for sure what had caused it. My late grandmother never had it. I have heard on the news that women that take estrogen pills risk having dementia in their future lifetimes. My mother used to take these pills for her "hot flashes". Coincidence? Those pills took my mother's soul away!

Sorry there is zero evidence to support your claim that hormones caused this. Just because grandma didn't have it means little. She could have gotten it from grandpa, or sometimes stuff like this skips a generation. Also there are many other things that could have caused this, like alzheimers..
