How can I identify spoiled pork?

You will be able to tell if pork is spoiled by a few different factors. First, will be the smell, it will have a very off odor. Second, you will most likely feel a slimy substance on the pork itself. Lastly you may also notice a discoloring as follows: a slight brownish green hue on the meat itself.

By the time pork starts to smell bad, you know it's unsafe to eat. However, if meat is left at temperature above 41 degrees F for a total of 4 hours or more, bacteria growth is considered to be at an unsafe level and the meat is not suitable for consumption (even though it may not smell yet). I really hate to say this but "spoiled pork" sounds like a good idea for a rock band; better yet, "poiled spork" sounds even better :)
