Because so many of them have been raised by a culture that has stolen away their humanity and left them with such deep insecurities that they can not express normal emotions. They have been brainwashed to think that strength comes from being repressed, afraid and ignorant rather than free, caring and compassionate. One of the greatest efforts at human liberation must be the rescue of our men from this sad inheritance.

They were told by their parents that 'boys dont cry'. Its an age old problem that is being passed down each generation. They are told from an early age that they shouldnt cry or show any emotions. They are told to deal with most things with anger and sometimes even violence because that is what men do!!!!
I encourage my son to cry. Not over everything but the things that count. Like when he says he misses his grandparents or if we are watching a sad disney movie. I explain that crying doesnt always mean you are sad but that you can also have happy crying. If he falls over and hurts himself, I tell him its okay to cry if it really really hurts bad, but if its just a small bump then there is no need and all he has to do is get up and continue playing.

I have had some cryers! This is a wierd thing for guys, trust me you should be happy if he doesn't. Cause if he does it once and gets the attention he likes, thats all he will ever do to keep you from being mad or leaving him. It's gotten so bad that now if a guy is crying in front of me I sometimes laugh. I konw that sounds mean but once you see a guy cry cause you and him can't rent the movie he wanted to see it kind of ruins it for others.

Well, I don't feel "unmanly" to cry, but the reason why other men don't think it's manly to cry is probably because they want to look tough around other people, especially their friends.

They are caught up in the caveman worlds way of thinking.I happen to be a real man that doesn't give a rip what people think of me and I sure don't need their validation for me to know what I've already proven to myself. But the most of the guys are only all talk and look to others to build their ego up so they don't feel like they see themselves. And others are just fed up with the fakers that make them have to beat the crap out of brain dead morons that enjoy shooting their mouths off without anything to back it up.

Because they have been programmed to believe that to cry, is a sign of weakness. It is really a muchstronger man who has tenderness and compassion along with his manliness. A man who cries would get me everytime!!!! I am a pushover for that type of guy.
