Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by web sites you have visited. They may contain information like you stored password, site preferences, or ordering information. The danger is that it is possible for one web site to see the cookies left by others, and to be able track where you have been on the Internet and possible read your password or other information. So it is best to clean the cookies off your computer for you own safety.

Tracking cookies are not harmfull. They just allow a company that places ads to track which site you have been on that have their ads. They have no idea who you are. They can only track sites that have their ads allowing them to show ads that may interest you.
