it was working before....we just got a dish....any ideas???

it is plugged in....it was working and now it won't turn on (ethier by the unit or by the remote)

Try plugging it in.

It might have gotten overheated and went into thermal protection mode. Try leaving it unplugged for a while and then seeing if that works.

all you have to do is unplug it and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds and plug it back it. Almost all electronics get caught in a loop and this breaks it

My guess is that a fuse inside the unit is blown (if it is a fused system).
