There is nothing in this life that can compare with Heaven and being in the presence of Jesus Christ with no Satan.

Yes, but more precisely: when I die, everything I love about life will not be gone forever. It is I who will be gone.

Try to think back to a time before you were born. Since you didn't exist prior to being conceived by your parents and born into the world out from your mother's womb, you will not be able to recall memories older than the age of your body. You likely will have no problem accepting that you the individual did not exist then.

Now try to think forward to a time after you die. Since you will not exist after your death, you should not have any problem accepting that you the individual (including all of your individual memories and preferences) will not exist in that future time.

Unfortunately, fear of death mixed with the childlike wishful thinking promoted by irrational religion leads most people to avoid these logical common sense conclusions. People have lots of problems accepting that death is as much an ending as birth was a beginning. Therefore, many people turn to fairy tale like myths such as Heaven or Reincarnation in order to lessen their fears about death and console their grief when loved ones die. Unfortunately, believing in these afterlife myths leads some to neglect their dreams and their relationships in the false hope that somehow all will be set right in that imaginary utopia supposedly awaiting them after death.

Again, just as we have no memory or awareness of any type of existence prior to our birth so too will our death bring the exact same kind of non-existence. Death is the complete and final end for each of us. Sad but true no matter how much we may wish otherwise. :(

On the bright side, knowing that death is truly final makes our individual lives count for more, I think. Making the best of one's life becomes exponentially more important when we accept that this one life we are living now is all that we get. And that's a good thing.

Good luck!

well, it would seem that my options are as follows: 1) I will die and go to heaven, which is so much better than this that I wont miss anything. 2) I will die and go to hell, where I will be in so much pain that missing this life will be the least of my worries. 3) I will die and there will be nothing, so I won't be missing anything. Either way, I'd say it's really not worth getting all worked up about it now.

No, I have come to accept that all things die and do not continue on with an afterlife. Which is why I as well as everyone else should quit wasting their time with Hope and Prayer and start doing the things that they want to do.

We all live as long as our body and universe allow.
Live your life
Logically, Rationally, and reasonably. You'll be much happier then waiting around for some savior or judgement day.

NO,
John 14:30: “[Jesus said:] The ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on me.” (This ruler obviously is not Jehovah God, whose will Jesus always performs loyally. This “ruler of the world” must be “the wicked one,” Satan the Devil, in whose power “the whole world is lying,” as stated at 1 John 5:19.
Although mankind lives on a planet that belongs to God, the world that is made up of those who are not Jehovah’s obedient servants is under Satan’s control because such people obey him. Those who wholeheartedly submit to Jehovah’s rulership are not part of that world. Compare 2 Corinthians 4:4.)

Finally, 1 John 2:15-17 says: "Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever."

No, because I know that the good part of my life have been glimpses of what Heaven will be like, moments with my friends and with my family, walking on the beach, camping, all of those things. If God took us home this second there is not one thing on this earth that I would be sad to leave behind.

HOPE IT HELPED!!

Acts 2 Peter is talking to the crowd about Jesus resurrection. The part of the dialogue I want us to concentrate on begins in verse twenty-two and ends in the first part of verse 34. David, the King David, is dead and buried and has not ascended to heaven. When will we expect to see our loved ones again? First Thessalonians chapter four verses 15 though 18 answers this question for us. One minute a person is alive and what will seem to them as the next minute God will call them from their graves. And finally, Revelation chapter twenty one verses one through five, we go to heaven together with our loved ones when Christ comes again and there will be no more death or crying. Won’t that be a glorious day? I can hardly wait.

Yes to a certain extent, but Heres how I view it. You dont really die, but keep on living on the exact same world, only with how you want it to be. So from that perspective you have everything you could want, including your personal belongings, and friends, family/ Partners. Call me crazy but thats just me

Yes and I'm sad to know that everything I've learned will die with me. That's why I'm trying to share my experience and knowledge on this site.
