That's bull! Everybody has a choice and they knowingly made the wrong one by breaking the law. Now they try to reason it away by saying they had no other choice. The proper choice would be to rise up and force their own corrupt government to help their country. La Raza obviously has the organizational skills to pull of a mass demonstration, but the fact that they haven't makes me think that ol' Vicente Fox has them eating out of his hand. To me, the choice is obvious - stay home and fix your own mess instead of coming up here and making another one.

Okay, i feel that everyone has a choice. They chose to come her illegally and break the law, they knew what they were doing and disn't give two craps about breaking the law. I also feel since they have no identity, if they refuse to go back they should be killed. Oh well i am a biotch and proud of it.

Why don't people find out what the laws are and hard it really is to come to this country.Answering a question without knowing the laws is ignorant.
I am American and with the laws the way they are if i could find away to bring my wife here illegally i might would do it.These laws need to be changed.People need to learn what the laws are. Then they will have a better understanding why so many come illegally.Did you know that the worker visas for 2007 are already taken/Did you know that they have a cap on all visas?Did you know if you marry in another country and planed to bring your spouse here you will have to be separated for 7 months to a year.Do you know what the cost of visa are?
What most don't understand is first the government is making really good money from visa which you never see or here about. There making millions and maybe even billions a year off visa.
By putting up fences and minute men on our boards you have built a giant prison. The government is taking away more and more of our rights People want to blame illegals and the government want you too. That way you are keeping your eyes off of what they are doing to you.
one more thing did you know that in the Philippines alone there are 120,000 americans lieveing there.Because they have married filipino's and it so hard to bring them here. Also there was another American there i talked to.His mother was in the hospital here in the states. His mother being very old and not knowing weather or not she would live.He tried to get his wife a vistor visa to vistit his mother. His wife was denide because she is married to a American.Once you are married to american you can not get a visitor visa. His mother has never been able to meet his wife because she is unable to travle to the Philippines and his wife is not able to visit the states.

In a sence, yes, and the United States has a major role in the situation. NAFTA needs to be abolished, and this country needs to put pressure on some major changes in Mexico, not abuse its abundance of labour.
If a man steals bread to feed himself, that can say a lot about society. The fact that so many are breaking the law to help themselves live an adequate life screams of social injustice. These issues need to be solved at their roots, not shoved away in a corner through ignoring it or kicking them out.

Even if the only choice left is to stay where you are, it is a choice. Granted, it's not favorable, but it's better than breaking the law and making it dang near impossible to get into the country legally later. I feel if one person breaks the law, we should punish them severely enough to deter other offenders.

You obviously have never crossed the street against the light or dropped garbage where it doesn't belong? You've never ever even stolen a pencil or pen from some office? Are you saying that YOU have never broken a single law at all? Because if you never have, you must be a saint! Be real.
People come here risking their lives because of hunger and poverty. Like your forefathers did when they came here from Europe or Ireland or Scotland or wherever... Would you believe that some also come here to escape their corrupt government? They come here to work 10-12 hours for less than minimum wages in hope of giving their children a better life and education; they do not come here to steal and cause mayhem.
They are the first to contribute during times of crises. Their children are the first to enlist in the Armed Services to defend what this country stands for, but not the children of politicians. Tell me, how many children of Senators or Representatives or Mayors or Governors are presently serving in the Armed Services?

No they could have made better choices. More honorable. I do not believe they were starving or there was any emergency. This was a case of greed and discontentment and little morals. They did know there are laws and choose to ignore them-they made the choice.
Mr. Boof has a good answer.

Their are always choices, doing things the right way may not be fast and easy but can be done. Those who break the law are just lazy and want things without having to work for them.

No, on Sept 16th, Obrador is gathering delegates at a convention to create a new Mexican Constitution in defiance of the corruption and to stop illegals crossing the border.
Fox has already admitted Mexico is short 25 million workers for jobs that can't be filled.

No, they must have had other choices. Not EVERYONE from their country is here....
Just the ones willing to break our laws to take our services from our people.
