does thinning your hair with thinning shears actually make it grow out very thick? if it does, what can i do to prevent it? i already cut my hair, btw

i have wavy hair, just past my shoulders.

by thinning, i mean using thinning scissors

Yes, your hair USUALLY grows thicker in any style that you cut it unless you're elderly or have thin hair through your genes,... but the actual cut with shears does give your hair the thinner look. If you condition your hair more often it will thin, but you should not over do it considering you might lose some hair. I only recommend this during the cooler times of the year since your head produces more moisture during the warmer times because of the humidity or heat. But hey, thick hair is gorgeous! Why thin it??

no it does not cause it to grow out thicker if it dd then why r there bald men ;) but if it is done too close to the scalp then when it grows back in it it go str8 out and cause the longer hair to be puffy like kind of give u big hair and that really depends on the type of hair u have curly str8 wavy r what ???

I do not think it makes it thicker....... just try it on a little spot on ur body and see wat happens........
