Cheese is made from milk -
milk is a dairy food. Hence, cheese is in the dairy section of the supermarket. To make cheese, you basically need fresh milk which you leave at room temperature until it starts to form curds (lumps) then you add a special ingredient called Rennet Rennet contains a milk-coagulating enzyme, and helps the cheese to solidify. Then you wait, add other flavorings if desired, drain it and wax and age it or just eat it.
