i was just wondering if you can have OCD without the compulsions, just with the obsessions (such as repeated, intrusive thoughts). I believe I might have OCD or some thinking disorder...

Yes, I've heard it refered to it as pure O. If the thoughts are interrupting your life I would talk to your doctor and they can refer you to a specialist.

Yes you can. I have OCD and sometimes you deal with just the obsessions and then other times it can be intrusive thoughts. You may have OCD the best way to be diagnosed by a Psychiatrist. For your peace of mind go see one.

Obsessive intrusive thoughts may point to some other kind of disorder depending on what or how you're obsessing, but it doesn't sound like OCD.

what you are describing are compulsions. The condition is called obsessive compulsive disorder. People have an obsession about something and the compulsion is to relieve the obsession, and it is just a continuous cycle. The obsession can be a thought, a need to wipe your nose, anything. If it is affecting your life, I would just talk with your primary care doc. Good luck!

OCD sounds about right. Ask your doctor to try tou on Zoloft, it's a good one for OCD.

Could be an early, early sign. Probably not. Try to think of other things when these obsessions hit you.
