Depends on what's standard for your area. A girl in our neighborhood charges $10/hour for 2 kids and then up from there. You are looking at 15 hours, so maybe $100? That works out to just under $7 an hour.
Whether she's sleeping or not isn't incredibly relevant as she's still responsible for your baby during those hours. Since she is older and could possibly be doing better things with her time, you really have to show that you appreciate it. If you only pay $30-$40, she'll probably be busy next time you ask as it works out to $2-3 an hour.

Just because she is family doesn't mean she should be paid less
than anyone else. Apparently you trust her, so pay her what you
would pay anyone else. 15 hours is a long time to be responsible
for a baby. If you only pay her $5.00 an hour that isn't much. I would rather stay home and read a book that be tied down that long and have the responsibility of a little baby. So $75.00 is not to
much to pay. You really should have discussed this with her!!

We pay $7.50 an hour. I think anything less is unfair...especially when she will be there over night. You can't expect good care for your child if you aren't willing to pay for it. I may be cheap sometimes but not when it comes to childcare. I'm trusting someone with my children!! That is a big deal and they deserve to be paid well. I do not think you should pay less just because she is family. If you pay her well then she'll be more likely to want to continue working for you.

Well the baby will be getting up during the night so you have to compensate her for that.
I run a home daycare and I charge 3.00 a hr for infants. I would say like 30.00 since most of the time she will be able to sleep.

Yeah, I would ask her what she thinks, especially since she is family, and will be sleeping for a lot of that time (if she is lucky, I guess...your baby is pretty young. I would like that somewhere around $30 or $40 is pretty decent.

Since she is family you probably shouldn't pay as much as you would someone you didn't know. Why don't you try talking to her about it and you guys compromising on a good price that works for both of you.
