Yes it does.
Read these verses:
Matthew 25
The Sheep and the Goats
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'
37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
Jude 1
7In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

No. Eternal torment in hell is pagan teaching. It comes from greek mythology and was adopted into the early Roman Christian church among many other pagan teachings such as Sunday worship. Eternal torment cannot be supported Biblically. Many past and modern day theologians have abandoned this myth. When you die the Bible plainly teaches that you are unconscious until the resurrection.
"5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten."(Eccles 9:5)
"6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun."(Eccles 9:6)
Some are quoting Biblical passages that contain the words "forever and ever" in support of the false eternal torment doctrine. It can be determined, using a Strong's concordance, that this term simply means "unto the ages of ages or the Messianic age". The term "forever and ever" does not mean "for all eternity". Theologians recognize this fact. This means that the lake of fire destruction will continue untill the new heavens and new earth are created for the redeemed. At this point in time the "Messianic age will begin".

There is a reference only to place like Hades, hot. It was the place bodies being burned as in a mass grave clean up. There is no actual "Hell" in any older version of Bibles. It is something invented by Faust in the 1300s.
Misery in life or in an after life? What if your soul returns to the well of souls? How can if suffer if it is prepared to come back to earth as in some belief systems?
Read for yourself. As in all things, it is a personal search so don't be lead around like a sheep.

No that is not Biblical. There is a hell, but it is not eternal misery.
When the Bible says they burn forever... it doesn't mean ti infinity.
Example it says Sodom and Gomorrah burned forever, but there is not an eternal fire in the middle East now.... is there?
A match when lit burns forever until it is burned up.
I hope this makes some sense and helps get things in perspective.

No. The idea of eternal misery called hell comes from pagan beliefs incorporated by so called "Christians" to their beliefs. Check this out with reputable reference materials like "World Book Encyclopedia" ( under topic of Plato, and hell), or Encyclopedia Britannica.
According to the Bible:
1John 4:8. God is love. A loving God would not allow eternal torture for those who dis-obey him. Just like a loving father, God just would like that his evil sons would die--but not eternally tortured.
Jeremiah 19:5,6,11 says that the idea of burning people did not even enter God's mind.
Ecclesiastes 9:5,10; Isaiah 38:18. Dead ones has no knowledge, no consciousness, so how can they be tortured.
The word "hell" ( hades in Greek; sheoul in Hebrew) means the commnon grave of mankind. ( Job 14:13; Revelations 20:13)
There is another meaning to hell--Gehenna--which was the garbage pit in Jerusalem during Jesus' time. There bodies of dead and unclaimed criminals were burned-together with othe household waste. So, when Jesus said that people should be afraid of one who can destroy both body and soul in hell ( gehenna), he was referring to eternal destruction. BUT NOT ETERNAL TORTURE. Read carefully Matthew 10:28. It mentions of Destruction--not eternal misery--for a soul. Do you believe these words of Jesus?
Some though would like to misinterpret the Bible to show that God is cruel, and that he allows a soul to be tortured forever in hell. They are victims of Pagan beliefs and of Satan, who wants to portray God as cruel.

i think it does support eternal misery, but only because of separation from god...in a way, earthly life without god can be hell.
i'm not so sure the bible does support the stereo-typical being physically tortured for all eternity, though.

The concept of Hell (and Heaven) doesn't exist until the New Testament. The Old Testament version of the underworld (Sheol) is more like a place of zombies.
The Christian concepts of Heaven and Hell seem to have come about much later and seem to rely on some rather "liberal" translation (like "Gehenna"). But if you are a "true-believer" you can see the "proof". You can also see dragons in the clouds if you look hard enough.

The Bible states that God is love, would love spend eternity punishing? I think we worry about not doing wrong so much we forget that there is work to be done.
