Adam: Not faulty logic at all. Any belief should be falsifiable, and every believer should be honestly prepared to have their beliefs tested.

shadowgirl: Your answer epitomises the irrational nature of religion: "I don't care what proof you ofer me".

Exodus: Life is a very complex chemical reaction - there is no special property called 'life' that somehow attaches to matter when it forms part of a living organism but not when it's floating around loose in the environment. Yes, I believe life will be formed in a laboratory - several teams are working on it right now.

parepidemos: No, there is no evidence pointing to a creator, in fact a creator is logically impossible. You're the one whose belief contradicts reality.

Nothing. Don't bother. Go ahead, call me crazy, enough people do that already. lol I call myself crazy. I don't care what proof you offer me. Also the little problem of there being no proof....

I don't know that any evidence would persuade a true believer, something may turn a person that is "on the fence"; but, not a true believer. Because of the lack of solid evidence proving existence or non-existence, real theists have developed what many atheists here call brainwashing. It is a powerful mind set that enables them to "know" God exists. A mental and emotional relationship. You would have a hard time convincing a child that Santa Clause does not exist because they believe it with all of their heart, a theist thinks along the same lines, they just "know" it is true. Atheists on this site have tried to argue the Big Bang and Evolution to disprove God's existence and it can't be done. Aside from the fact that both theories have holes in them and thus are still theories, Intelligent Design has linked science and theology together in a strong, working relationship. Science has actually done more now than ever to help the theists argument. Having said that, a supernatural event would probably be the only thing to persuade a true theist from their belief.

How can you say that there is not an invisible energy that has not been discovered yet, when we are still discovering things on this planet, life forms that we didn't know existed yesterday?

How can I deny a very real presence that was there for me when I desperately needed help and filled me with amazing love that no human has even come close to?

I read your letter to bobkgin and thought it was exquisite, and I love the way that you explain the universe so grand and beautiful, but why can't we also allow the unexplainable when it causes serious postive changes in a person like me?

I think that is the point. There is no proof either way. You probably will not be able to convince a "true believer" that their chosen God does not exist, it is based on faith. However they keep trying to throw bible verses at the non-believers as proof of their religion and God, which is kind of ridiculous.

There is nothing you can say to convince them that it is a book of propaganda that was put out to show the masses the proper way to act and behave and install fear if they step over some imaginary line, however they use it to non-believers as proof.

I think it is fine to believe in any religion you want, but I do not think it is fine to preach from the high moral ground if you feel the need to judge and make decisions for others and preach on their futures, when that is not their responsibility, the only one who can judge is their own God.

I don't want to be persuaded, then I'd be as empty and hopeless as the atheists I see on YA. Do not want to be anything like you guys. I have purpose, take the purpose away, all you have is emptiness. Not to mention, what are you gonna do, find the non-existant rock that made the big bang thus creating the universe? And you guys think we're illogical.

How do we go from lifeless to life? Explain life to me. To say that "it just happened over time" does not work. That answer is just like a theist who says "it's in the Bible" or "GOD made it",etc.

Can life be formed, from the raw materials in nature, in a laboratory?

There are many other questions I can ask, but this should suffice.

If atheist would be persuaded of God existence. But since that gonna happen, likewise, expect the same rejection.

God bless.

How are you going to prove the NON-EXISTANCE of God? And if they answered this question (thus doing YOUR job for you), wouldn't they ALREADY be atheists and not Theists?

Faulty logic here.

If you can show me that there is clear unrefutable error in the bible, not only would I convert, I would attack my own religion.
Good luck doing that though, I already found out that time itself proves atheism wrong.
And so far, no other religion have I seen without error.

Sorry, all the evidence does point to a creator. It seems you have it all backwards. :)
