Hi, Emma. You hate him because of the things he's done--maybe even towards you--that put him into a stereotyped bucket of the type of people that you would normally hate. But you have a crush because while all of this hate is happening, at the same time you're interacting with him more and seeing a different side of him. Either you are physically attracted to him but dislike him as a person, or else you are actually falling in love with him and fighting it all the way.
If it's the second one, then give him a chance and get to know him better. Maybe he's nicer than you think.
If it's the first one, you should leave him as a sexy fantasy, because it could get really messed up. Or have sex with him, but realise it's not going to work out.

if you think you hate him then you need to think about why you feel this way. I believe deep down inside you really want this guy and you are in denial, so maybe that's why you think you hate him.

been there. u really shouldnt crush on someone you dont even like as a person, it wont work out, youll just get frusterated and irritated. try liking someone you can actually stand

You need to look at the inner qualities. If he isn't nice and acts stupid, he's not someone you would want to be with right? so why don't you just forget about him and maybe look at someone you do know, or at least heard about. Hope it helps.

if you know his faults and you can't bear them than you can probably convince yourself not to like him unless unless really deeply you actually want to like him because it somehow makes you feel better (I've had that happen to me way too many times)

and if the attraction is purely sexual.....and if you are not the shy kind. you can always jump him and dump him.........
