Cake. Frosting tastes like pure sugar most of the time. Some frosting is good, but for the most part the cake is better.

What flavor? If the cake is white and the frosting is chocolate, I would have to go with the frosting. However, if the cake is chocolate and the frosting is white, then cake wins every time! Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting...hmmmm....one bite of cake and one bite of frosting...back and forth til I can make a decision...usually takes a second piece.

I like cake with butter cream frosting.... Can I throw a fit so that I can have both? Why one or the other? I need both! I want both.... Hmmm.. Well... The frosting could work for other things I suppose! :o)
