So the corned beef fits in them. Fridges are just made for corned beef. Same shape and everything.

They are shaped that way so that the corned beef can be removed from the tin fairly easily in one congealed lump which then (if not all used) needs to be stored in a fridge.

In a sealed tin you can keep it more-or less anywhere and that is kind of the point of tinned corned beef.

I think they are shaped that way to cut your fingers.

Corn beef straight out of the fridge cuts into slices much easier than warm or room temperature corned beef

I want there replaced right into a coaching board to recommend your suggestion of a round Corned beef tin. I had an analogous hassle myself and had were given to the degree the position i presumed i'd have a cheese sandwich truly. i finished retaining the tin lower than the electric powered can opener and easing it round all the corners till i ultimately were given one end of the tin off.

I do not know why they are shaped like that (really never thought about it...so good question), I suggest that when you open the can cook and what is left over refrigerated. Never put a can in fridge, it gives the food some kind of poison to the food, right now I cannot think of name.

keep in fridge as it's easier to slice when chilled. The tins are shaped that way so you can slice the meat

Think it's so they stack easily. Cold corned beef from the fridge slices so much easier.

Don't know about the shape, but yes, keep it in the fridge - it makes it easier to slice. Otherwise it just falls apart.

Yes keep the tin in the fridge, it makes it easier to slice. As for the shape, i think it's the way it is so once sliced it's easier to put on a slice of bread!!!
