Where can i find a website with information about black bear hamsters. Im looking for informations about them as a pet not their history.

thanks for all the answers so far. i have had a teddy bear hamster in the past, so i was just looking for any important difrences between tham (ie. certian food that are poisonous to them but not other syrans ect.

they r just a type of syrian hamster that was bred to be more gentle/docile and larger than the typical syrian. if u want care info rather than history just look for syrian hamster care---as that is what they r. i had a male & he was the sweetest ever. never bit ever. did u have a specific question about them? if thats what u have u made a good choice.

no worries--treat them the same as a teddy bear. no differences. only dwarfs r treated differently.

I don't know where you can find info on the web, but I had two of them, since they were supposed to be very gentle. They both bit. One got me and the other got my son. I would just be careful of how old they are when you get them, the older they are, the less likely they are to be a "pet".

not sure, but; your local pet store sometimes has informative books, they are informative and to the point, black teddy bear hamsters, as well as drarf chinese hamsters, and teddy bear hamster (you may get a nasty one of these once in a blue moon) make great pets!
