There is a guy that likes me, but I don't like him. I already have a secret crush on someone else and I am waiting to make a move on my secret crush. It's not that I dislike this guy, but he is just not my type. I think he is really nice and all, but I just don't like him like that. How do I tell him without hurting his feelings, because it's hard for me to tell the truth when it comes to stuff like that.

it's hard to knock people back. you just have to be honest. say 'hey, i really like you as friends but i dont wanna go out' even if it hurts him it's better than giving him false-hope cos that is worse and will hurt more in the long run. sometimes even hurting someone is better for them cos they can say it wouldn't have worked then and move on.

He will be hurt no matter what. But you can still be kind. Tell him that even though he is a nice guy, you don't think of him that way and hope that he understands that. If he is willing to just be friends, then respect his feelings and stay away from him. Under no circumstances should you ridicule him or make fun of him for his feelings for you.

The truth is the only way to go in life. And it can be done with a gentle, but firm word or two. Just tell him you think he is nice, but that you are interested in someone else. And say thank you.

Always be open and honest in whatever you do, especially when it comes to someone's feelings. If you do not like him do not lead him on! Let him know that he is cool, you guys can be friends however you are interested in someone else. If you can't tell him personally write him a note.

JUST TELL HIM THAT YOU'RE REALLY TRYING TO STAY FOCUSED AND DON'T FEEL THAT HAVING A BOYFRIEND IS THE BEST THING FOR YOU RIGHT NOW...IF HE'S STILL PERSISTENT THEN YOU MAY JUST HAVE TO LET HIM SEE YOU AND THE SECRET CRUSH TOGETHER AND THEN HE'LL KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ANOTHER LOVE INTEREST. Basicly just tell him he's nice (or cool) and all,but he's not really your type .... I can't think of a nicer way w/o hurtin' his feelings. And that you're really into someone else. (Basicly,what you said up above[as someone else that answered your question has replied])
