Try downloading and running Infraview Software - opens pvm files

or convert them to a different type of file

It looks like your trying to open a file that is a picture file that came from a digital camera. Some digital cameras save as a propriatary file. You usually can convert these files to JPGs through your camera software. From what I gather this is a HP camera. There is a little information on-line that might help you.
