How can you get long lasting curls without perms?

Question

I have shoulder length, sorta thick hair. My hair usuallly falls out of waves or curls 10 minutes later and I want a way so that it will stay. Thanx!

Use some setting gel if are using rollers. Also spray the hair lightly with hairspray before combing out your hair ( whiile the hair is still tightly curled) If using heated pollers or culing iron do not try to comb out while the hair is still warm, wait til it cool.

If you ever use Garnier Fructis, then you should try and buy, well I remember something called, like Long Lasting Curls or something like that....you use it before you use a curling iron, to curl your hair, and then afterwards, if you want even a full fledged beauty shine, you should use some hair spray and gel, not too much though hun, so it doesn't smell bad. I would know, because I'm a beauty queen.

Usually, I prefer hairspray and mousse over gel (because gel leaves icky white residue). Unless you're scrunching your hair, don't use too much gel.
If you're using a curling iron, spray all your hair with hairspray before you start. Then once a piece of hair is on the barrel, spray it lots, hold, then release. And then continue with the rest of your head.
I recommend Garnier Fructis Ultra Hold hairspray if you want curls.

If you're using a curling iron, use a small barrel. Hot rollers?
Same method. When you remove the rollers/iron, DO NOT
brush out curls. Fluff your hair with your fingers and gently
spray a fine mist of hair spray. Finis!!

use a styling product made to help hair curl/ wave, then dry with a diffuser, it helps hair stay curly without blowing out the curls like a normal blow dryer. also set with hairspray when your done

Spray salt water in your hair. Mix 2 tea spoons of salt in a water container and spray away.

Gell wet hair and roll with hair curlers. Don't be caught dead wearing them out of the house.
