well its' kind of...illegal to burn Windows XP. You can download XP anywhere on the internet>>Type >>'Windows XP' into yahoo. You'd better have your original legitimate product key though.

You cannot burn your windows Xp again to a CD... you have to buy a CD....

If you're saying you want to back-up windows that came on your computer because you want to re-format.....

Depending on your make of computer, usually there is a 'backup' already on D drive and you can get it by going to your computer website and ask for the command to bring the computer back to original configuration. This will totally erase your disk and reinstall windows to factory setting. It's actually a Ghost file.

You can always go and buy a windows CD - you can get legal copies pretty inexpensively today. If you're trying to bootleg a copy of windows - it's getting harder and harder - because "Windows" is getting smarter and smarter. Personally, I ALWAYS buy a windows CD - regardless of my computer. That way, I always have my copy.
