I heard that before but a man was trying to fulfill a request of an ant to see him. when after showing his face and all they could see was the canyons of his nose holes. His hairy mountain toe.
The man realized the ant couldn't see him. The sage said,

thats my opinion on what that means.
maybe even stupidity, the ants say its snow, but there is no cold climate or anything falling from the sky.
