If you havent had lobster, you should try that.

Clam chowder is good.

I think you said you lived in london, so I dont know what kind of potato youve had, but weve got some good ones.

We have a restaraunt called "outback" that serves really good steaks and bloomin onions.

Its hard to say what kinds of foods will be there, since the majority of good foods are at family restaraunts, not chains.
Some bars have good food, especially chicken wings and bar-b-que.

You might want to go south and try out southern food like okra and fried green tomatoes.

There are plenty of good things to eat, just about anything you can think of.

I'd say that since you are going to be in the "Barbecue belt" I'd reccommend any family owned barbecue places. It is one of the more truly american cuisines. I reccommend either smoked beef brisket or barbecued pork ribs. Also, there are a lot of good steakhouses in that region because that is the heart of cattle country.

How about a chicken fried steak? Maybe some good ribs or brisket. Course, the hamburger would be good too.

Bigger towns in Oklahoma have good pizza places, Chinese food, good Steak Houses and delicious home cooking for breakfast.

barbeque ribs
country-style food, ie: chicken and dumpling, fried okra, or biscuits & gravy

Try Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater, everyone knows this place.

btw mcdonald (beef) tastes much different here in the states than other countries, first hand knowledge when I went to asia
