Like an smaller class of aircraft they have slightly higher wing loadings and are a bit stiffer than the large ones, therefore you do feel turbulence a little more than if you were flying in a 747, just a size thing. They meet the same safety requirements and have an excellent safety record.
If you are on a Series 200 the windows are very low so it is a bit uncomfortable to look out the window, but if on a 700 or 900 they are much more comfortable
Don't recommend row 12 or 13 on the series 200, right beside the toilet, I mean right beside....

If you mean canadair as in the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) then the answer is that it is fairly comfortable for short flights of an hour and a half or less. It has 50 seats making it smaller than a Boeing 737 (or Airbus A320) both inside and out, so you will feal slightly more turbulance, but it also has the ability to fly in the mid 30,000ft range (above most turbulance). However if your flying from NY to DC, its 45 minutes and you're only going up to arround 18,000 ft.

Quite smooth, but I flew in a 70 passenger CRJ-700 on my way in and a 50 seats CRJ-200 the very next day 9 months ago, which allowed back to back comparison, and I was less comfortable in what is supposed to be the larger jet. If you are tall and insist on a window seat, your head will be too close to the curved outer partition. Your legs will have a hard time being right in front of you, again because of the fuselage curvature. Don't expect too much in terms of in flight entertainment, unless you bring your own.

Many years ago, it was nicer than American airlines. Pilots and staff were much nicer, much more relaxed. I remember I was flying to Montreal on Canadair, and the Pilot let me watch them fly. He commented that it was agains FAA rules for American airlines to do this. Now post-911, I wonder if it's different.

The Canadair and Embraer regional jets are far superior to turbo-prop aircraft. They are quieter, faster, and smoother because they can fly at much higher altitudes like other larger commercial aircraft.

I have flown a number of times on Canadair RJ's, and it is not noticeably different from flying on anything else.

I know that the pilots seats are very comfortable I haven't had a chance to sit in the back yet the aircraft is very quiet as planes go much quieter than similar sized turboprops
