I burned windows vista onto a dvd and it didn't work?

AND YES IT IS OUT TO TRY, THE ONE I HAVE IS NOT PIRATED!!

I put in the dvd and a window popped up with the iso in it but it didnt boot. I used cd burner xp pro 3

maybe there is copy protect function that disables it from working.
