Hot Dog surprise
Ingredients
1 package Hot dogs
1 Small onion
1 Small can of tomato paste
1 tbsp Margarine or butter,1 tbsp of flour, 2 cups of milk, salt+pepper
Serve with rice and a vegetable
Preparation
Slice up the hot dogs. Chop the onions. Cook together for 5-10 min , until brown. Remove from pan. Make tomato sauce out of butter, flour and milk. Stir until smooth, add tomato paste. Add more milk if the sauce seems too thick. Let it simmer for 5 min. Serve over rice.
Cook's Notes
Substitute beef franks for turkey or chicken for a leaner version. Omit onions if your kids don't like them. The dish can be served with pasta.
