how to get a visa, or wehther yo need one, depends on your nationality, purpose of visit, and length of visit. Or visit or call a UK consulate in the closest large city.

That depends on what passport you hold now, (assuming you already have a passport) which you do not state. US citizens do not require a visa to enter the United Kingdom. The US passport must, however, have at least 6 months vaildity remaining on it, from the date of intended departure from the UK.
