I recently heard of this showing up here in the east, but no experience with it. The person who had tried it was very impressed with the color change of the foot bath. I think she said it cost her $50.

Scam. The skin does not act in that fashion. Nor would the body suddenly move a specific class of substances from everywhere inside out to one part of the skin, especially at the speed implied here.

While certain toxins can be eliminated from the body via the skin (tellurium comes to mind) it is a slow process, and they exit via the bodies' natural outlets. Mercury gets expelled through hair production. Tellurium is excreted via the sweat glands.

Also, "toxins" are not a uniform class of substances that can all be dealt with by a single method. The term is a general one, like "fruit" or "prose".

What kinds of "toxins" do they think they are removing? Are these people wading through raw sewage while barefoot?
Off the top of my head, I can't think of any "toxins" that can be removed by someone who isn't a doctor, nurse practitioner, etc. The main "toxin" that concerns me in people's bodies is cholesterol, which does not come out through your feet.

Anything is possible....Ask what toxins are being removed...Water can change properties from whatever they place in it after being exposed to the air...not necessarily toxins......If they give you a pedicure as well as the dip...then in my opinion...it's worth a try...Your socks were not stained due to the fact that you did not utilize their products & water...

I say scam, one really has to watch all the "removing toxins" stuff out there, they make promises on procedures that you really can't tell are working or not.
