From a Christian standpoint, my answer would be "choosing to work against God". That could mean stealing a chocolate bar or killing a ton of people. When all of us choose to go the way we know we shouldn't . Everyone does it.

I think it's gluttony.
We lie, cheat, steal, use the Lord's name in vain... etc, etc, etc. We know we're committing a sin, yet we keep on doing it.
We all eat and stuff ourselves. We don't stop eating once we're satisfied, we stop when we're full and about to throw up. We don't realize that is a sin too.
