Use "Dynamat" near the speaker mounting areas. All high end stereo installers use this material. This will rectify the rattling and help keep out road noise on the freeway :D

IF the noise was played @ a human level where the decibels aren't off the scale then the speakers wouldn't RATTLE-I hope they all remember this "Rattling" when they get older - then I can say " Told U so " ""LOL ""Maybe by then Hearing aids won't b that expensive.butt i guess all the doctors have no idea what they are talking about ------ "told U S0" also if the top of the speaker was filled with"Great Stuff"& a 2" board covering the entire speaker was installed,U probably wouldn't hear a "rattlin"

Stuff rip up news paper in the speakers mounts and make sure all the screws are tight. You can do this yourself and save lots of money. The rip up news paper will help with the sound quality output from the speakers and also help stops the rattle sounds that they can make.

Yes, it would help to know what speakers are rattling. Door speakers? Rear shelf? Subwoofers, perhaps? Dynamat definately goes a long way in reducing vibrations caused by speakers and road noise.

It does sound to me like the speakers are 'blown'. The fabric is torn. Two other's gave this answer and I concur. They need to be replaced. They weren't very high quality to begin with probably. Get some good speakers to replace them, perhaps use this dynamat stuff as well. Boston Accoustics speakers sound good.

Hmm turn the bass down, your makeing your speakers "bottom out" thats when the peice that moves (voicecoil) moves too far and slams into the magnet, it will destroy your speakers rather quickly if you keep this up
