I hear ya there. I have the same problem. Best thing to do is to repeat their name to them. Then try to associate their name with something about them....

Are you being introdicted at a party where you are dirnkin? LOL
One way to remember peoples names is to associate something with them, like the perfume, or something that rhymes with their name, or repeating their name after you are introduced "hello, Fox, nice to meet you!". LOL Maybe he's the one with those green eyes, or stubble, or whatever.

My sister is the same way. When we are out together and someone knows her, she won't introduce us because she
doesn't remember their name. We can't always remember, but if you will really concentrate on the person when you are introduced and repeat the name to yourself & try to associate
them with something that will remind you. For instance, if she says, so & so this is James. You might think to yourself, James
Bond. Hope this helps.

Memory can be trained and improved like anything else.
Try matching their name to a sound with an image. Like Kuntz can be related to Coons getting their tail sparked by an insect killer, "tz!!"
Equivel, for example, can be S ski well, like the letter S with downhill skis doing a very good job.
You see? Oh, by the way, it's "introduction." Check your spelling before you post these things.

It's normal, don't sweat it. It helps if you make a point to use the person's name a few times immediately after you are introduced.

i am the same way. i think it is because there might be a slight case of nerves. in my case, i'm more worried about introducing myself without saying my name wrong, so i forget to pay attention to the other person's name
