Does it make them feel good to crush someone's hopes? Don't you hate it when somebody flirts with you and ends up hurting you later? Why do they do this?

It's like it's a test to see if they can get you and once they do it's not exciting anymore and they move on leaving the other with scares or a broken heart. But I believe in Karma, what goes around comes around.Remember that.

It's too bad when you get hurt when someone doesn't follow up their flirting. The probably don't mean to hurt you or crush your hopes.
Here's the deal. Flirting, unlike words upon which you can rely, have very little meaning in and of itself. There are a good many things like this that need to not have a lot of emotion attached to them. Words aren't any good either unless you learn through experience that words from that person can be relied upon. That's what the process of what used to be called courting was all about--figuring out if you could rely on the other's words and that they'd be there for you when the chips were down. In short, you might want to learn to trust less quickly and verify that the other can be relied upon before giving them power over you.
