Have you ever driven a Volkswagen Fox?

Question

Have been given one as a courtesy car, did NOT buy it? Let me know what you think of it?

Ah, sorry meant to say, the brand new one - '56' plate. The old ones were nice. The new ones are UGLY and weird.

I loved my Fox - what a fun, zippy, little low cost car. The one I had had 4 doors and a ton of pick-up - good little car in the city and on the highway. Plenty of room for a single girl - I actually used it to move - mattress tied on top.
I upgraded to a Jeep when the kids came - now I have a minivan - but I look forward to owning another VW.

I drove a Fox for about 5 years. LOVED it. I never had a single problem with it. Traded it in for a van when my second child arrived. I believe that you never hear about them because the original owners are still happily driving them!

I've also had a Volkswagen Rabbit that I drove until it died (years!) and I 've had a Passat for five years now and it's my baby (dolphin grey-moon roof- I call her Luna)

kindof an oddball VW in theyre day. It used to be badged as Audi, similar to the quantum with the longitudinal mounted engine. I dig the 2 door Fox wagon

They are ok. depends on what year. One i've tested was using a gti motor, but it was rear wheel drive which was kinda odd looking at that motor compared to the gti since it was a front drive car. They are ok for a 4 banger, I'd go with a newier vr6 gti myself.

Yea i had one before, it was a good little car, practical, good on gas, never had a problem with it, now i have gti, its practical little car, thats good on gas and its still quick, handles, nice interior, anyways fox is a good, practical, reliable car.
