Mexico Is NOT A Poor Nation

Foreign Aid To Subsidize A Corrupt Government ??

I think the Mexicans are our neighbors. IF we could give money to make their lives better, to build an infrastructure to make their life better I would be ALL for it!

Sadly, that money would wind up in the hands of the powerful and corrupt, leaving the average hard working, honest, Mexican out of the loop.

The Mexican government is coming up short next to the drug “governments” that rule Mexico. I don't blame those people for wanting to come to the USA for a better life. I just don't want law breakers here.

This division in Mexico is a direct result of our “drug war”. I hope the war against terror goes better than the drug war!
Aid for the Mexican people? Yeah! Good idea. how do we get it to them through all the corruption?

Helping them build industry and solve problems is I think a good idea on principle. The hatred felt towards the US by many Mexicans is my only reservation on the idea. That and the fact we really cannot afford the forign aid we already give. If Mexico didn't hate us so much I'd be all for it.

We need to stop all foreign aid to any country until we get a handle on our own economy. I'm not against aid for other countries, but we happen to be in the middle of a war, and we don't need to be caught with our pants down, and not enough money to fend off an attack of our own boarders. Mexico is our friends, but if they keep bringing meth, and other powerful drugs across the boarder while we fund it, and their government turning a bind eye to the problem, then we need to shut it down, lock, stock, and barrel.

Actually, when we provided alot of aid to Mexico in the early 90's (financial bailout when they were going to default) they paid it all back ahead of time. Aid to mexico, so long as it is tied to performance measurments and is monitored, is a good thing.

if everyone donated a small amount of money to mexico it would'nt help that much, becuase it probally wont go to all the citizens that need it. I wish we could help mexico more but there isnt much we can do. The best way for mexico to exit the "3rd world country" stage, and become one like the U.S. is for the government to give money to their citizens, and help out. Its all in mexico's power to help itself out. Dont feel guilty for them, it's their governments fault not your. I wish we could do more.

Your question makes no freakin sense. ANyway, dont send aid to mexico for there is too much corruption nthere. The aid never gets to the people who need it.

Yeah...let's send them money. How about a penny at a time, hand delivered to Mexico City by their illegals?
