Are you wondering who would win? Or are you wondering who would be there?

Let's say it was a field of 16, complete open weight the guys considered the best, it would be in no order.

1. B.J. Penn in his prime
2. Vitor Belfort when he was on a tear
3. Randy Couture about 3 years ago.
4. Fedor Emelienko obviously
5. Matt Hughes
6. Sakuraba in his prime, Gracie killer days
7. Rickson Gracie on name alone
8. Royce Gracie on name alone.
9. Cro Cop
10. Wanderlei Silva (anytime prior to Cro cop)
11. Kevin Randleman (on pure athletic talent, or roids.. one of the two)
12. Gomi
13. Rich Franklin now
14. Oleg Taktarov, just because I like him.
15. Frank Shamrock in his heyday.
16. Minatauro Nogeira.

Hell there could be a lot more, but say that was the 16 man tourney.

Fedor would still probably win it, until someone proves that he can be knocked out. Then it would open up. I would say the final four would be.

1. Fedor
2. Randy Couture in his prime.
3. Cro Cop/Nogeira
4. Vitor, BJ, Frank, or Wanderlei in their prime.

Hard to say really, but I don't think Rickson would do as well against today's fighters that know how to fight standing up as well as how to defend submissions.

I think the Gracie mystique has disappated some since more well rounded guys and better wrestlers like Sakuraba and Hughes began defeating them.

Rikson Gracie, then again Mark Coleman never really impressed me that much especially against someone with both power and submissions.
