4 US Soldiers have converted to Islam from Christianity in the war in Iraq. According to the converted soldiers, Islam is the best religion for its teachings of forgiveness, nobleness, love..etc. The most recent converted soldier is "George Douglas".

How could they convert to Islam iff Islam really is full of violence and terror, despite the fact that they are already in a war with the so called "Islam fanatics".

The four converted soldiers defined the Islam religion dead on. Too bad it is the few religious fanatics the religion is judged on. If you ARE to judge on the fanatics then Christianity will not paint a rosey picture, either, or any religion for that matter, so save your bile sprewing hatre of Islam to yourself.

I don't see this as nothing more than an I-am-ignorant post.

During WWII Nazi Germany was at war with the Jews, are you sure you want your country to carry on that legacy? From Jews to Muslims, what difference does it make? it's still extermination of a religion no matter how you spin it.

I am an Army vet and i served as support to the soldiers in the first Iraq war. I can tell you that this was the thing to do back then as well as to get pregnant. A lot of the soldiers converted so that they could use the conscientious objector excuse to get themselves a discharge. The woman got themselves pregnant in the field for the same reason.

Please. I'm an Army veteran. It's not like the Army is wall to wall geniuses who think logically. I've seen lines of them waiting for the Catholic priest to bless their medallions. Besides, 4 out of 160,000 isn't exactly a rousing endorsement is it? Four converts? A thousand times that number will be fornicating with Iraqi women when the sun goes down tonite. Is that a proof of the value of fornication? I've been to events where 50,000 converted to Christianity in a single night, and no one put a gun to their head, and if they change their minds, no one will cut off their heads for changing their deen. Popularity is not proof of merit or truth and theism offers little or none of either. It hardly matters what flavor it comes in.

Because when you see something up close and personal, you realize that a lot of what you knew about it was false. Yes, Islam isn't perfect, but it certainly gets villanized a lot more than it deserves. Besides, they probably saw the real difference between Muslim fanatics and moderate Muslims who follow the religion properly.

Wow, interesting to see Islam defeat Christianity this way.

I don't see how these guys can believe this unless they were brainwashed. Islam is not a religion of peace and mercy. I had to study it when I took mid-East history years ago. mohammed based his doctrines on war and destruction. I am not sure they should be allowed to stay in our military since islamic jihad is the enemy.
