I would like to state that hotdogs come in packages of 10 and that hot dog buns come in packages of 12.
The answer to the movie trivia question is that it happens to be the way things are. That there is no particular purpose.
The truth is becuase they know some people HATE when the hotdog bun splits down the middle, so naturally you need another hotdog bun. They proberably did a study of this and found that out of 10 hot dogs two of them had a split down the center. So they naturally added 2 buns to take the place of those that break.

You've got that a bit mixed up. Hot dogs come in packages of 10 while buns come in packages of 8.

I'll answer your question, however I do not see what this has to do with Religion and Spirituality ?!... :)
So, here (NYC) we buy both hotdogs and buns in packages of eight... :)

In the Bible, 7 is the number of completeness. (You've had enough.)
8 is the number of new beginnings. (Hope for tomororw.) LOL
