Go to www.teachersdiscovery.com. You can find all kinds of Spanish readers there, from novels to short stories. Because they are designed for students they often have vocabulary words which helps and even some comprehension questions to help you to understand it.

Garcia Marquez is OK, but sometimes he gets too mindblowing or cryptic, and that's something I'm not particulary fond of. I guess you could go with anything from Isabel Allende, Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote, or even Paulo Coelho (he's Brazilian, but Spanish is as close as you can get to Portuguese, so the translations are pretty exact), even if he can be a bit of a hack sometimes XD.

I'm guessing you are not all that fluent. Try Amazon.com and look for a popular book but in the junior or child's version. The Man of la Mancia is available in everything from a comic book to a university level textbook, for example.
Pick a level of book that will be easiest for you. Don't pick one that is too difficult or you will lose interest.
