Is there any place I can get a nice car w/out such great credit? I had a few bad things on my credit from when I was 18, but nothing since and I am 25.

try getting pre-approved for a loan from a bank or credit union and not for just a car off of a junk lot....
If you are pre-approved for let's say $3000.00 dollars than you can buy your car where ever you want to...
this is also the best way to buy a car.. never go to a car lot and buy through their lenders,,, do the borrowing on your own...
you will save thousands.....

Do you not have the cash to pay for it? If you have the money, you can just buy a car on the spot without having to do a payment plan, so a credit check wouldn't matter. Perhaps buying a car that is a couple of years old is better if you don't have enough money right now.

Best place you can try is Craigslist (craigslist.com) and click on the city nearest you, eBay is another fun place as well. or if you want to try police auctions (not sure if this is true, maybe you can confirm it for me :D) this place http://cheapcarsearch.com
