Every time you ovulate your ovaries create a cyst. It is supposed to go away on it's own, sometimes it doesn't, and other times it's a completely different kind of cyst. So it's normal to get cysts, and it's not uncommon for them not to go away. I had to have an ovary removed because of a cyst. It had enfulfed the entire ovary. I'm now 23wks pregnant with my third child.

So whatever doctor told you that if you conceived you would miscarry and die was a complete and utter moron. I sincerely hope they're no longer practicing medicine. Congrats on your upcoming bundle of joy, and I sincerely hope that their idiocy taught you to seek a second opinion regarding something like that. Good luck. =)

I also have a cyst on both ovaries and I have 3 children and another one on the way. I had my cyst removed with my 3rd child while I was pregnant and I did end up loosing the baby. However, I still have another cyst and I have not removed it yet. My doctor never told me that I would die if I have a baby, so I am wondering what type of cyst do you have. Is it cancerous?

Doctors do have a way of scaring patients and they should not do that because alot of these doctors do not know what they are talking about. Not all but the majority of them... (Good Luck)!!!

Who's "they"? I had a TON of cysts on my ovaries when I started ttc, as part of a condition which was making me infertile without treatment, and no one ever fed me a line like that. A cyst isn't going to kill you. If you're due, obviously you haven't lost the baby. Since you're only 2 days overdue, don't sweat it, most first timers go late. Complications like losing the child or dying yourself are due to way more than a cyst on your ovary.

I had a cyst on my ovary and I NEVER had my doctor tell me that. He just told me to wait until I was done with the med. When I went to the infertility center they told me there was nothing there. I am now 14 1/2 weeks and the baby is fine!
