Was it originally to help people. If you kill someone at a moment when they feel they are really contributing, would that make there next life better?
Would you be cool with it?

Human sacrifice is a great way to get rid of the bratty, impertinent teenagers who ask tough, grueling questions -- tie 'em up in wicker and set fire to them! Into the volcano she goes!

It'll also shut up the younger kids and make them less like to become impertinent themselves.

Human sacrifice was the original scheme to promote social justice by using the institutions of society to perfect each individual into a caring, concerned, well-mannered team member.

Human sacrifice was practiced in many ancient cultures. Victims were ritually killed in a manner that was supposed to please or appease gods or spirits. Human sacrifices were made in the Bronze Age Celtic religions in Europe, and in rituals related to worship of Norse gods (most modern Ásatrú and Druid groups do not condone such practices). However, because most of the information comes from outside sources (Greeks and Romans for Celts and medieval Christians for Norsemen) who may have had ulterior propaganda motives, contemporary historians consider them suspect.

I would be against it, but I would love to help them with a new idea: plants sacrifices... It's more efficient.

It was probably some butthead who lied and said they had to
have a human sacrifice, so he could get rid of a rival to
his lovers attentions.
Like some guy lied on the people in India, they call the
"untouchables". Said everyone born into that tribe was
supposed to be someone that is living out bad karma, so
noone should help them. And to this day, they live in poverty because noone will help them.

Well, it is in the bible. It never happened, but he did ask for a human sacrifice. Pagan rituals sometimes had human sacrifices. It was done when a King was being crowned. It was to see if the King would have a long and fruitful rule, or if it was to be war torn.

The Aztecs sacrificed people to their god Huitzilopitchli because they believed that that was what he wanted. In reality, it was probably a common religious practice in the pre-Agricultural Revolution world, but was later replaced by slavery (read Orson Scott Card's "Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus").

It was when man was stupid, stuff like the weather would seem wild. They eventually got the idea some one was doing it-hence god. After a bad thunderstorm or something, they would think that their god was mad at them and sacrificing someone would make him happy again.

Satan. If you research the tribes of people that were slaughtered when Joshua came into the promise land you will find that they were killed because of judgment for this very thing.
