Does is mention that a certain person was or is the last prophet and that there will be no one after him??
cuz if not then for sure there is a prophet ......who came after the time of jesus....

In the last days of earth's history, there will be a great need for a prophet to lead us back onto the "straight and narrow".
Yes, prophets must come today! BUT, be very careful. There are going to be MANY false Christs in the last days. This has obviously been fulfilled. Look at all the various denominations that there are the world today. Which one is correct?
Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

It was the prophet’s duty to denounce sin and foretell its punishment, and to redress, so far as he could, both public and private wrongs. He was to be, above all, a preacher of righteousness. Do we need prophets today? Yes to restore the true faith rather than "reform" it.

Amos 3:7, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing , but he revealeth his secret unto his servent The prophets."

The Bible says to be warned of doctrines of devils. And they exist right in the church. Talking about read the Bible, and only
the Bible, and nothing but the Bible. When the Bible itself says
to" judge all things." Scripture says at least two people faithful
to God will return and prophesy in the last days. Elijah, in
(Malachi last verses). And John, in the book of Revelation.
It says he "will have to prophesy again before nations and kings."
The Holy Spirit will be poured out on ALL flesh in the time of the
end. And WE will prophesy, and have visions, and dream dreams.

Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.
Why do we need a prophet to stand between us and Christ? I guess the spiritual gift of prophecy is good but no longer do we need a prophet to lead us we have Christ.. Jim

It does not say that there will be NO other prophets but it does say that in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son.
