Soviet is the word in Russian that means advisement or council. USSR stood for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Russia was one of the largest republics in the USSR. The USSR doesn't exist anymore...not since the early 90s

Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. The name used for the Communist regime that ruled from 1918. It was still Russia
that was the government name, After Glasnost and the overthrow of Communism the Govt reverted back to just plain ole Russia.
Do not ever believe Ronald Reagen destroyed Communism. Communism be at Communism because it doesn't work.
As China becomes a greedy consumerism company{which is good} Communism will fall there with not a shot but a whimper.

It is the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
It comprised Russia and many of the former baltik states - Georgia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Khazakstan among others.

It was the product of the Soviet Revolution during World War 1
and was disbanded during Peristroika.

Exactly that USSR = Soviet,
Union Of Soviet Socialist Republics, or in cyrillic it is CCCP but i need the cyrillic typeset to put it in here.
The soviet nations are those which used to be aligned/encapsulated to Russia but the soviet nation is really greater russia.
