I think you meant to say what you would you *girls* do...but then I might be making faulty assumptions.
Either way, guy or girl, here's the answer to your question.
Believe him. You're just close friends. There's no such thing as a closet boyfriend or closet girlfriend. Either you are or you're not and you BOTH have to decide what you are to each other. This is a type of miscommunication that has broken up many relationships and potential relationships. Good luck.

Never drop to conclusions without inquiring. Most gay people have problems admitting their homosexuality to their families. It depends on whether the mother already knows if the boys is gay or not, in which case the boy will be clearly not admitting his love to his boyfriend which is unacceptable. However, if the boy is just not ready to break the news shouldn't matter if he truly loves his boy friend. The other boy should work on letting be more confident with his sexuality rather than giving up on him and dumping him.

If he can't stand up to his mother and be truthful, what makes you think he'll do the same for you?!?! This guy is a coward and I would tell him that if being with you is so shameful that he has to keep it a secret from his friends and mother, then maybe it's best that you two were not together at all!

I'd tell him that that's all we're gonna ever be now.
That's what I think would be a good answer, I'm too insecure to say things like that. Hey, at least I can admit it I guess. I'd probably just get into a fight with him. And expect flowers after.

Well tell him if he keeps saying that you 2 are friends, then that will be the next step, just friends.

If he's ashamed to be with you ("mommy" sounds like a lame excuse), kick him to the curb. Ask him about it first, though. Honestly ask him why he said it, and confront him about it. Be honest.. and if he's not honest with you in return, he's not worth your time.

once you spell "dat" and "gurl" the form you do, you're too youthful as much as now somebody that previous. i'm 20, and it would be merely weird and wonderful and unlawful if certainly one of my acquaintances dated somebody that youthful.
