I'm a twenty four year old guy and have been looking for a suitable job for more than two years, I studied Electrical Engineering. Yet in South Africa things have changed and there is a lot of politics involved in companies. Such as BEE, Black Economic Empowerment, which means most people get work merely by race rather than qualifications. I really don't know what to do anymore. Should I stay here and work in anohter field, which I have tried, or should I look for success in another country.

Find another country. While the job situation may appear to be getting better in SA, it's all subject to whoever is running the country and race is a big factor. Other countries are crying for Engineers, check one of them out. Much the same as test driving a new car, you don't have to move just because you are checking it out. Try somewhere like Canada for example. I understand Alberta is booming right now and needs engineers big time. The money is great, lots of nature and if, after a few years you decide it's not what you want, you can always move back to SA.

YES!!!! I have just fled from South Africa and now live in Europe. Compared to South Africa it is utter heaven and i swear never to return there. I'm 18 years and used to live in Cape Town. South Africa is a total dump comapred to the great country it was years ago. It's only going to get worse, thats a FACT. So i suggest you get to any 1st world country you can before you get shot or stabbed or raped or something that happens every single day in the "Rainbow Nation"

That is a very personal question...Traveling is always fun but nothing compares to home.
I heard that there were a ton of hot blonds in South Africa and that most of the educated white men have left the country in search of work... Is that true?

Cape city is wonderful. it truly is beautiful and laid-back and has a rich cultural heritage. I lived there for a 365 days, and wanted i might want to stay longer. there are such various problems with interest to make certain that any suggestion might want to count upon what kind of belongings you want doing. honestly, you may favor to purchase a Lonely Planet or difficult coaching guide e book on Cape city to provide you a favorite assessment. there is a few crime, so be smart: do not bypass wandering round on your own at nighttime; keep on with populated parts; do not wave your valuables round. popular massive-city safe practices stuff. convey a digital camera, swimwear, trekking shoes for nature reserves, and luxuriate in it!

There's a lot of that here in America. It's not the best qualified who get the jobs, it's the minorities.

If you have the chance to get out and get a job overseas, do it now.
South Africa is slowly sinking.

Well, if you're not black, and it looks like your job's going to go to somebody else because of a quota program, pack your bags and bolt.
