I think that you are pushing the time a little. I would try and go to the recruiter and attempt to get the boot camp delayed or if you go to boot camp and then to school then maybe you will qualify for some leave time.

If you haven't already enlisted, pick a boot camp date for after the baby is born. They will not let you leave boot camp to come home for the birth. I am a military wife, and I have many friends who have had their babies without their spouses present. This is just part of what happens when you are in the military. Good luck to you and your family.

There will Be NO way to get any time off while you are in Boot camp or in A school. Same with C school. whether or not you could get any time off once you hit the Fleet is debatable, and frankly, the new guy just showing up will be low man on the totem pole for leave granting.

There is a 2 week Holoiday Exodous between Xmas and new year's. that's the only time A and C School students are allowed time off.

Only way you can be sure is wait until February to enlist. This might not be a good time to leave home since you never can tell what will happen during a pregnancy. Especially if this is the first child.

You say you are going to enlist. I am surprised that the Navy will accept your enlistment if they know you are now pregnant. My suggestion is for you to put your baby first and delay your enlistment until after the birth of your child.

I don't know about the Navy? I was in the Army and so was my brother. When he got sent to Bosnia for a year, he was told by his command that he would be able to come home for the birth of his second child. When it came right down to it, he didn't get to come home. If it is that important for you to be home for the birth I would go with the delayed entry program. That way you will be home for sure.

Are you sure that you have thought your career choice through? My husband is a career Soldier. As an Officer he will have served 34 years before he retires. I can't count the 'events' he has missed but it will run to dozens of birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases (he's been away for the last two) parties, funerals....

If your CO can spare you, then it is possible that he will give you leave to be with your wife but there are no guarantees, and if you don't understand that, and are not prepared to leave your wife and little boy to fend for themselves often, then don't join up.

Generally no...otherwise everyone would be on constant rotation. You hear about guys who missed the birth of their children everyday, it's part of being in the military. Hope you got a real big sign-up bonus. The only way you will be allowed to come home is if your wife dies in child birth or if some other close relative (mom, dad, brother, sister) dies suddenly.

Why not just wait until after your baby is delivered and then enlist and go to boot camp.

If you are in bootcamp they aren't going to let you come home, sorry, the one guy in my division that his wife went into labor early and had many complications didn't even let him go home. Try to make sure that either A-school will let you out or maybe you can postpone A-school. Thats the best I could suggest
