I can only give my own reasons for believing, but it is up to you to decide if those reasons are good enough for you. But since you asked, I'll tell you why I believe. I was raised in the church, so I knew the foundations of the Bible and its teachings. It always made sense to me, in spite of what a lot of nonbelievers say about it. I guess I never had a scientific mind anyway, but I'd rather believe in miracles. It isn't just "fantasy". I believe in a lot of things that can't be seen, such as love. Now that's something that makes no sense at all, but I wouldn't want to live without it. God's love is just a bigger part of that. And once I finally decided to accept that love, it changed my life in ways I can't even describe (for the better). No, my troubles didn't magically go away. If anything, I had even more. But now I had a way of handling them, where before I felt hopeless. If you want concrete proof, I can't give you that, but what I've gotten from it is much better than anything else. All it takes is an open heart and mind to see it.

Here is THE reason to become a Christian: God is good and lovely and if you want to know him and love him and be with him, there's only one way:
As Jesus himself said:
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Here's some more simple logical reasons to believe in God:
1. The reality of the creation
"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead" (Rom 1:20)
2. The reality of God himself
If you come to some insight in the existence of God, you may start to search Him. If you truly want to know him you will find Him:
seek, and ye shall find (Luke 11:9)
So, after this answer some good advice:
Accept the atoning death of Jesus as atonement for YOUR sins,
and come into the Lords presence,
"knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Luke 11:9)
as it is written "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (acts 16:31)
God bless,
Peter Berger

All religions require faith, which is the belief in something unprovable as though it is proven. For instance, God's existence in not provable one way or the other.
Seeking proof, i.e. "a good solid factual reason" to believe is the exact opposite of faith. Such doubt may lead to an inability to accept as given whatever tenets a particular religion may teach.
Lingering doubt may prevent the development of the faith necessary to be happy in a religion.
That is not to say that you shouldn't question the beliefs of different religions and think them through. Just realize there is no way to prove them right or wrong.
This is one area where you truly have to follow your heart and head.

If you want to change to a particular belief, this site will probably not change your mind as you have to firstly be seeking to change it, and usually people already have a faith in mind, I think if you truely want to learn about a faith go to wherever the faith is pratised, say a church ask the priest or whoever is there to help guide people. remember don't just go to one church if you're disappointed as there are many out there and each will most likely have their own spin(btw do your own research beforehand - not from yahoo answers more like religious site or perhaps religious forums)
and the same goes for any mosques, synagogues, gurdwaras, temples or any religious centres you may go you.
Good luck and have a nice time learning

Since you are seeking proof of the reality of Jesus Christ (that's essentially what you are asking for here), why don't you just ask Him to reveal Himself to you and make Himself known to you in an undeniable way? You've got nothing to lose. If you ask Him, and there is no response then you just keep doing what you've been doing, and you haven't lost anything. But if He answers you, and does what you ask, then you need to do what He says.
If you are serious with Him, He will be serious with you. Is that fair enough?

Do your parents want you to obtain the best that you can ,be the best person that you can,to love and not hate,to be of stable mind bla bla bla.
So dose our Father God, and Hes given us his Son Jesus to guide us to Him, and He dose / did do much more than that,
So when your ready,
Take a good long read of the new testament and let The life and words of Jesus Christ soak into your mind and soul and they will change your life for the better .A Blessing

Buddhists don't typically convert people, but you asked so...
Look around at the world, look at all of the suffering, the hate and envy. This hate is caused by our desire for worldly things, or preference, as Buddha calls it:
"Never have anything to do with likes and dislikes. The absence of what one likes is painful, as is the presence of what one dislikes. Therefore don't take a liking to anything. To lose what one likes is hard, but there are no bonds for those who have no likes and dislikes. From preference arises sorrow, from preference arises fear, but he who is freed from preference has no sorrow and certainly no fear"
- Buddha -
Buddhism is not very supernatural, we believe in following the Dharma, a code to a good life. The eight-fold path shows us how to live our lives compassionately:
1. Right Views: Live your life never completely for or against something, live openly
2. Right Resolve: Be steadfast in your quest for enlightenment
3. Right Speech: Never Lie or speak harmfull words, they are painful.
4. Right Behaviour: Never hurt another being, physically or emotionally.
5. Right Occupation: Have a job that is beneficial and that does not harm any third party.
6. Right Effort: Try your hardest to follow these rules
7. Right Contemplation: Analyze anything, never follow any idea blindly.
8. Right Meditation: Meditate
"Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love, this is the eternal rule"
- Buddha -

You shouldn't unless of course it is what you are looking for. I find it always best to leave myself open to either walk where others have been or make my own path. What you choose to believe in depends on your way of thinking and if you want to change that way of thinking.
