A man lived on the 45 floor of an apartment building. Every day he would go somewhere he would push 1, for first floor. When he came back he would go to the elevator and push 30, for the 30th floor. Then the man would walk up 15 flights of stairs just to get to his apartment. He did this every time when coming home. Why did he take all these extra steps?

because he was short . he couldn't reach the 45th button so he had to walk the rest of the way

He was a short person and he probabily could not reach the 45th floor button. The highest button he could reach was floor 30, so he had to walk the rest of the way up.

He was a midget, and he couldnt reach the top numbers to get to his room. So, he climbed the rest of the steps after pushing the highest number on elevator he could.
