There is nothing wrong with the fact that you decided to call her out on staring at you. The problem lies with the way you voiced your issue with her. You could have come out being the better person by being mature..saying "do you got a problem are you jealous of my hot body do you wanna be me" was ridiculous.

You sound like you're looking for a fight or feel you have to fight your ground on the least provocation. People on train sometimes stare at other people-- get spaced out, fall into deep thought etc. If you "make something of it" every time that happens I am afraid you wil find yourself in trouble. A lot of non-verbal interactions between people in public are not that personal, people feel a little anonymous, and if you take these interactions and make them into personal 1 on 1 conflicts, it is you who will come across as rude and intrusive, if not downright threatening.

Yes. You were very rude, ignorant and bad-mannered. If the person was admiring your outfit you should have taken it as a compliment. But then I would hardly expect anything better. You sound just like that Vicky character from "Little Britain".

I think YOU came off as the idiot here.

Sometimes people's "neutral" faces (when they are not expressing any emotion) look like they might be pissed off. It's just a hereditary thing.

Next time, you should smile sweetly and say "hi"...or "can I help you with something?" This won't put the person on the defense and they'll probably say something like "Sorry to stare--just liked your outfit".

I believe your comment was inappropriate. If she was staring at you, you should have been gracious and busied yourself with a newspaper or perhaps moved to a different seat or just looked out the window. She might have been rude, but you only exacerbated the problem. Don't beat yourself up over it... good manners don't occur all the time... learning from one's mistakes is more important.

I think your response was rude. You seem incredibly self-centered and wayyyy too full of yourself.

It sounds like all the woman was doing was looking at your outfit. She didn't deserve your lunatic response. You should be careful. The woman you confronted could have been just as confrontational as you seem to be.

You seem to have a major chip on your shoulder about people in general.

What??? This was one rambling, babbling sentence! It was hard to figure out what you are saying!

Someone was staring at you? Yes, it's rude. You called her on it and she found something else to do. She was probably embarrassed because you caught her at it. Now, just give it up.

The next time, you can always move your seat. Life goes on. Live with it. There are worse things that will happen to you in this life.

I think it was wrong of her to stare at you for as long as she did without saying anything to you. When she first noticed your outfit, she could have simply said that she thought it was cute, and asked where you got it from. Or even said something like you looked familiar to her and asked your name.

I think you had every right to ask why she was staring at you for so long. You could have said something to lighten the mood, though, something like "Do I have something gross on my face?"

That's just my opinion.

That woman shouldn't have paid any attention to you; that was her first mistake.

Have you considered that you are a part of her scenery; just as other people are part of yours.

Don't sweat the small stuff - it's all small stuff.
